The 佐賀大学海洋エネルギー研究センター Institute of Ocean Energy, Saga University, Kyushu, Japan is looking for a qualified candidate to pursue a PhD degree in Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasuyuki Ikegami, and providing a prestigious scholarship over three-year period.This is part and parcel of the on-going Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS)-Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) Project 2019-2024 https://www.utm.my/satreps/ undertaken jointly by the Saga University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in-collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and UCSI University.
Upon the completion of his or her PhD studies, the candidate is expected to serve his or her nominating research centre or institution as a post-doctoral Fellow.
RESEARCH AREA
- Ocean Thermal Energy Engineering. Related on H-OTEC (Hybrid- Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion System)
- Mechanical Engineering Field such as Thermodynamics, FluidDynamics, Heat Transfer, and etc.
- Renewable Energy
REQUIREMENT
- Applicants should belong to sub-project University or organization (Register as Post Graduate student)
- Age: 24 years old or more as of March 31, 2021. Born on or after April 2, 1986.
- Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. CGPA for Master degree: >3.50
- -IELTS: 5.5~6.5,
- -TOEFL iBT: 72-94
- Good English language skills (Communication and Written)
